Don’t Be A Problem Person
Warned my fiery aunt
Well, well, well. Who would have thought that my aunt, a fiery person who doesn’t take too well to even minor inconveniences in life, would be advising me to not get involved in a legal dispute with the company that fired me?
*Scratching my head*
If you don’t know, last week I got fired for not wishing my team leader on her birthday. Being a descendant of a freedom fighting nation, I was absolutely not about to take this shit lying down. I got fired Friday end of business, but I still rang up a couple of lawyers, did my homework on unfair dismissal and called my aunt, as I always do whenever I want to vent to her about my office problems. I couldn’t get through to the lawyers as they’d all gone home for the weekend, but I was fortunate to get a hold of my aunt. She happens to have worked in a bureaucratic government office so she was familiar with all sort of office shenanigans.
But shockers of all shocks, she didn’t support me in my decision to take the office to task for their bad behavior.
“Who told you to report them to the Fair Works Department?” she asked cautiously.
“No one. I just looked it up,” I replied, a little surprised by her question.
